You have been asked to write an article to present a young person’s point of view about this campaign. Here are some things to think about before you start your planning: NO OR YES • children like to eat junk food • shopkeepers will n ot be able to check the age of every child • junk food is unhea lthy • parents should ch eck what their children eat In your writing you should clearly argue your point of view. You should provide reasons to support your argument. Include some of your own ideas as well. Your writing should convince readers to agree with you. HINTS • Use the planning time to organise your ideas. • Stay on the topic: Is it a good idea to stop selling junk food to children under twelve? • Begin with an introduction that tells the reader your point of view and finish with a conclusion that sums up your arguments. • Write in paragraphs. • Write in sentences that are correct and varied. • Pay attention to spelling and punctuati on. • Use the time at the end of the task to check and improve your writing. © UNSW Global Pty Limited
